Erfisa SA: A Swiss family-run pioneer

Founded in 1986, Erfisa SA is a Swiss family-run company of four people. Asset management being their main activity, they also offer services of financial planning and mortgage financing search. They place themselves as a pioneer in the promotion of unquoted bond solutions, which is rarely seen for asset managers due to the long and complicated process. Most of their clients are individuals based in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

Erfisa has a unique approach towards their clients, which is to be the entry point for every topic. In other words, the client has a single point of contact – Erfisa – who will listen to their needs in order to offer a solution either completely internal or, if needed, partially outsourced to their external network of experts composed of lawyers, notaries and other specialists. 

Their approach is thus based on listening to the needs of their customers and offering the best possible tailored solution as opposed to presenting a catalogue of existing offers

Challenges 

Streamlining data and enhancing compliance

Erfisa wanted to find a solution to centralize data, to automate the invoicing process and to be able to receive automatic reminders such as birthdays, documents updates, and others in order to improve different aspects of day-to-day business and customer relationship. 

The wish to have a single tool to centralize data was also essential to avoid any unnecessary double input in several files and, in a broader vision, to meet compliance in FinSA / FinIA regulations

Solution

Future-ready portfolio management

To meet these needs, several portfolio management systems were selected thanks to the recommendation of a notorious Swiss bank. 

The main criteria for the choice were pricing but mostly the capability to adapt to future changes, in search for a tool that could be functional on day one but also able to adapt on the long term to different changes. 
After a long discussion period, WIZE was finally chosen amongst other providers thanks to its wide functionality panel but also to the considerable size of the team and the local and international experience which underlines their field experience and their ability to adapt. 

WIZE’s approach, similar to the mindset of Erfisa, was to first listen to the needs to be able to plan the next steps and give a personalized schedule and proposal. WIZE provided an adequate support with a guidance through the steps and a sensation to be in good hands.

Results and Benefits

Enhancing daily operations and connectivity

WIZE solution is now used daily at Erfisa, it is a central tool that allows to save time in day-to-day portfolio monitoring. It also allows to navigate easily in the wealth management system and to generate different reports, analyses, as well as invoices. Moreover, the client follow-up is more efficient with diverse existing warnings.

A major advantage is the connectivity to Swiss banks, with most of them already connected to WIZE, it is therefore easy to integrate new banks in the system

Perspectives

Multiple functionalities to future challenges

The solution is fully integrated into Erfisa’s business development strategy. Since WIZE is one of the leaders of the French-speaking Swiss market, the onboarding of new managers is facilitated. Moreover, the multiple functionalities will allow Erfisa to easily adapt to future challenges.

Erfisa will thus continue using WIZE for their next steps of digitalization, with the plan of offering white labelled e-banking for their clients and to gradually integrate controlling CRM functionalities to comply with FinSA / FinIA requirements
